About Us
At Elkanah House we strive to
LIVE Authentic Lives; to
LOVE Beyond Self; and to
LEARN Beyond Examinations!
OUR STORY
We are home to over 1 400 students across three campuses :
- Sunningdale Campus (Grade 000 - Grade 6)
- Blouberg Campus (Grade 000 - Grade 3)
- High School campus (Grade 7 - Grade 12)
Each campus operates independently while remaining closely connected, fostering a strong sense of community and continuity throughout a child's schooling journey. This unique structure allows us to offer the personal attention of a small school while enjoying the extensive facilities of a larger institution
OUR MISSION STATEMENT

THE ELKANAH WAY
As our students progress on their educational journey from the protective and nurturing ambience of our Preparatory and Senior Preparatory campuses to the more adventurous and independent tasks of the High School, we encourage parents to work with us to help students face challenges and seize opportunities every step of the way.
At Elkanah House, we believe that education is about more than preparing children for the next test, the next grade, or the next milestone. It is about preparing them for life.
Here, every child is known. Every child is encouraged. Every child is given the space to discover who they are, what they love, and how they can make a meaningful contribution to the world around them.
From the earliest years through to high school, Elkanah House offers a warm, values-driven learning environment where pupils are supported, challenged, and inspired to grow.
At the heart of our school are three pillars that shape the Elkanah journey:
Learning Beyond the Classroom, Loving Beyond Self, and Living Authentic Lives.

These pillars guide how we teach, how we lead, how we serve, and how we grow together as a community.
Learning Beyond the Classroom means that education at Elkanah House is not limited to textbooks, timetables, or classroom walls. We believe children learn through experience, exploration, creativity, collaboration, and real-world engagement. Whether in the classroom, on the sports field, on stage, in nature, through technology, or in moments of discovery, our pupils are encouraged to ask questions, solve problems, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Loving Beyond Self speaks to our commitment to raising young people who are compassionate, thoughtful, and aware of the needs of others. We encourage pupils to look beyond themselves, to serve with humility, to build meaningful relationships, and to understand that their gifts can be used to make a positive difference in their communities and the wider world.
Living Authentic Lives reminds us that every child is uniquely created and deeply valued. At Elkanah House, pupils are guided to grow in confidence, integrity, and self-awareness. They are encouraged to discover their strengths, develop their character, and live with purpose, courage, and honesty.
