At Elkanah House, we offer an intimate theatre experience hosting a variety of shows and events on the West Coast. The theatre's tiered seating includes a large overhanging gallery, and seating at the foot of the stage can be converted into an orchestra pit.
This multipurpose venue is ideal for events which include dinner-dance, drama, theatrical productions and musical spectaculars. But when the show is over, the action doesn't end. The hydraulic floor is lifted and several rows of seats magically make way for a flat surface that meets up with the stage to become a large hall. Useful for school assemblies, the venue also becomes a gymnasium for sport and recreational activities.
We are equipped with sound and lighting to ensure your talent show, ballet production or drama showcase is given the attention it deserves.
Our theatre is linked to the Schoolyard Café which is a fabulous little restaurant which can be opened for dinner and refreshments - both before and during the show. Our small, yet diverse menu is changed seasonally and offers the perfect opportunity for a total theatre experience.
