IN THE MEDIA

On 8 July 2010, with six weeks problem-solving mathematics training behind them and a skip in their stride, a team of four budding young mathematicians departed for Hong Kong to take part in the Hong Kong Math’s Primary World Contest.

Following two rigorous math’s selection tests sat by 165 candidates, the four  Mathematicians earned their places in Team Cape Town to participate in the international math’s competition.

Team Cape Town not only achieved the highest results in recent years but also tied for first place from South Africa with Bloemfontein.

The team included Michael Thomson (Bishops), Christian Cotchobos (Rondebosch), David Kube (Sweet Valley) and Jordan Ferreira (Elkanah House).
