Knowledge is power, and the Library at Blouberg Prep equips students with access to resources to suit all their research and investigative needs.
Open two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays 8am to 2pm), pupils from as young as Grade one get the opportunity to choose their own book to read, lending them the chance to decide what they want to read themselves.
Dressed with books from a diverse selection of genres such as fiction, non-fiction, Afrikaans books and a small section of reference resources including dictionaries and encyclopedias, our library offers the learner a wide selection of options from which to choose.
The Library at Blouberg Prep recently purchased a new set of Grade 1 readers, and is in the process of being computerised. The library is also in the process of expansion and also broadening its non-fiction collection of books.
All proceeds collected from My School and Makro cards are donated to our school libraries. To date R39,793.87 has been raised through My School towards our libraries for 2011. Click here to view the most current results in the My School Card Competition.
