Gabriel swims for a great cause!
Gabriel Schreiber in currently in Grade 6 at Elkanah House. Recently he truly showed the spirit of an Elkanah House value to love beyond self as he took on the 7.5km Freedom Day swim from Robben Island to Big Bay. He took part to raise awareness for Chaeli Mycroft, who is a girl who was born with Cerebral Palsy and using a wheelchair sees opportunity where most would see limitations. Whilst Gabriel is a talented swimmer, he realises that there are children whose bodies are not able to do as much after reading Chaeli Mycroft’s story of how she turned her disability into ability. Gabriel was not only the first person to take up the #BetICan Challenge, but also was the 2nd youngest swimmer to do this epic event. If you would like to support Gabriel and The Chaeli Campaign in his fundraising initiative then visit: www.betchaelicant.com, make a donation and leave a message for him.
