During its relatively short existence, Elkanah House has worked hard to develop an educational experience that leaves a legacy of lasting value in the lives of its students.  We are a school that aims to teach and learn beyond examinations and to value community as much as self.  We want our students to grow in intellect and always to be aware of the needs of others.

We believe in encouraging our students to live authentic lives. People admire many things in others, but it's character they remember. We believe we work hard to live up to these aims and we will produce people with character – which ultimately will define us as a great school.

At Elkanah House it is very much a part of our mandate to develop the strengths of each individual in whatever way we can and to nurture them to emerge as confident, caring and humble young citizens. We want them to deliver what they promise, to stretch themselves, and to learn to go the extra mile. They need to be strong enough to believe in themselves, in their ability to confront any challenge. They cannot expect to win all the time, but they must enter the race. We undertake to support them as they run it.

As our students progress from campus to campus in their journey through this experience, we will help them to reach the destination and we encourage their parents to work with us in enabling them to grasp these challenges and opportunities along the way.  The journey progresses from the protective and nurturing ambience of the Preparatory Schools and the Junior Primary to the more adventurous and independent tasks of the High School. Throughout it all, we provide a caring and talented team of teachers who endeavor to get the best out of their charges.
